What was Mark planning to have a scheduled break for?

Three fights in 8 months is no big deal, especially considering the caliber of his opponents. He could go to the States tomorrow and have a fight lined up each fortnight against this type of opponent. He's wasted another year if these three opponents is all he's accomplished.

Of all the misguided, uninformed crap you've posted that's probably my favourite so far :good

Yeah gotya Stiflers. From my limited time on ESB I have realised he's a serial pest. He has gotten all the attention he's going to get. Never actually heard the bloke comment on a fight.

Who would beat him besides, Meehan and Browne?

    Alex Leapai already has :patsch

But Alex struggled. Taking nearly 2 whole minutes to do it

Troy Weida is an absolute shadow of the ordinary fighter he was at his peak. Hopefully, like the equally shot Rob Calloway, he'll retire and avoid further humiliation.

Weida has been stopped 8 times in the first round for ****'s sake, and even an inexperienced guy who can bang like Ben Edwards could easily make that 9. He certainly wouldn't last 3 rounds with Edwards IMO.

I'm not a Solomon Haumono fan, but Solo would beat Weida without too much trouble.

Spare us the Troy Weida fairy-tales mate. Nobody believes them. The guy is shot to the shithouse :patsch

BoxRec have increased him from #376 to 373 though

Excellent post. Can't let nobody hold him down. Oh no, he's got to keep on moving.

Mark has 3 nice wins in 8 months. That is excellent to be active again like that. And he won a minor regional strap in there too.

Too many HW's sit on their arses. And do not let Leapai fans talk any **** to you bro. Alex was a Top 15 rated HW in the WBO on July 31st of 2009. He fought the 6-3-1 Masataka Takehara.....to a f'n draw. He followed that up with a win.....over an 0-12 boxer.

These same dudes talked **** about Chauncy smoking a couple debuters after a year off from the Solis fight, part of 4 wins in 45 days. This guy was a world ranked dude drawing with bums and fighting guys who were 0-12. They have no room to talk at all. Even their big fights were for pennies on the dollar and piddly rewards with the sanctioning bodies.

De Mori and Welliver keep on winning. Eventually they will get their big matches. :deal

Interesting point. How much worse is the T-man than Weida. Te Rangi is a jobber but the guys he lost to in those 13 fights makes better reading than de Mori's resume. Could Weida give Te Rangi his first win?

Te Rangi has also fought consistently tougher opposition than Chauncy as well.

Could Masataka Takehara's speed and illusiveness prove too much for de Mori and Welliver? He fought Leapai and Cronje to a draw. He might have too much for them.

I have a list of the top 4 men to face for De Mori and Welliver.

Boxrec #33, Fabio Eduardo Mali, Argentina HW Champ, 44-8, 6-4&1/2, 43 yrs old. Good size and a good bump in ratings at boxrec. Is a perfect tuneup for a top taller fighter.

Boxrec #53, Oliver McCall, Former HW Champ, 56-12, 6-2, 47 yrs old. The old boy can still fight, and still goes the distance every time out. He is DOA for USA cards but he can be had down under.

Boxrec #56, George Arias, Brazil & South America HW Champ, 50-11. 5-11&1/2, 38 yrs old. Anytime you can take out the HW Champ of a continent, it is a nice nights work.

Boxrec #67, Jovo Pudar, PABA HW Champ WBA rated, 28-3, 6-4, 41 yrs old. A Povetkin ranking in the WBA & a PABA HW Title for the trophy case.

These are the best targets going right now at HW. They should be reasonable on cost. They have high rewards for low risk in the ring and in the wallet. All are very overrated in the boxrec rankings which get a ton of looks. These guys need to be taken out.

He's not a champ of anything or anywhere. Not a former champ of anything or anywhere.

Welliver has Continents To Conquer.....South America You're Next!
