My take on this whole debacle is this- For starters i'd like to go on record as saying that I think Pac won the fight... however... Judges watch and score a full 3 minute round. Pac was only remotely active in the last 45 seconds of each round. Regardless of statistics of punches landed and punches received, it could easily be looked at as Bradley being the only one who did ANYTHING in 70% of the fight. Had he stayed even a little busy in the first two minutes of each round, he wins every round, but as it was, he tried to STEAL rounds. While his efforts in these last minutes of each round was more impressive than Bradley's two minutes, two minutes won vs 45 seconds won, you see where Pac can get into trouble. Not to mention- once the word "stealing" rounds comes into play, it gives the impression to the judges that you didn't EARN your round. In fighting in spots, pac did himself and his fans a serious injustice. Should have been- and could have been- and easy payday if he showed up.
I think that is the main reason Bradley won the fight on the score cards. I think a boxer can "steal" rounds. 3 minuets in a boxing ring is a long time. Think of it as a mile or 1500 meter run. (Unless your name is Steve Prefontaine) You proboly don't lead from the start. The race is usualy won with a "kick" or sprint down the last stretch. Think of the last :60 in a round as that kick. It's that kick down the stretch of many rounds in a lot of fights that determends the round.
Watching the replay I agree. And PAC is lucky he never signed to fight FMJ. He would of been destroyed. Except for 2009 says the *******ed.
