No, they're both scum. The main difference between them is that King doesn't really have anybody in his stable anymore but when he did at least he made the fights happen.

 

As I said earlier Ali was due 8 mil from the Holmes fight King only gave him 5 and kept the rest it was in that book Jack Newfield wrote that King got so pissed about. He shortchanged Holmes for much of his title reign in the 1980's flat out stiffed Roy Jones for much of his purse for the Tito Trinidad fight he gave Tito his contractual share out of Jones money and gave Jones hardly anything. It has been going on for years and is disgusting. He stole millions from Tyson etc. No fighter deserves this. Ever.

 

Don't hate the player, hate the game. Don King was a street hustler, imposed himself on boxing fresh off a jail sentence for kicking a man to death over a small debt. He did what came natural to him. He should not have been trusted by anyone. Problem was he was very charismatic and a great manipulator, which allowed these boxers to be so easily fooled into trusting his fake promises and lies. have to feel sorry for them, but at the end of the day they are the ones who signed the contracts without reading the fine print. They have to take some responsibility.

Don has never been anything other that what he is. When you work with him get a decent manager and know exactly what you are getting paid. Many fighters have made money from him, its only the naive ones who believe his bull**** who get burned.

I agree, but these are also allegations, until proven in court. No doubt that King is a piece of ****. I would say that most promoters, if not most business men are nothing more than snake oil salesmen.

Arum has been accused of short changing several boxers, and bribery.

Why try to compare them? It does seem as though your agenda is to prove that Arum is not as bad as King. When you have to compare scum to dirt...why bother? They both suck.

 

Arum is a saint compared to King who's about on Sandusky's level in my opinion. A thief of the worst order, you have to be brain dead to do business anywhere near this guy.
