Granted its after a loss... But when asked about Martinez Vs. Chavez he didn't seem to fancy Sergio's chances either.

    Classy dude tho

Lee did try to intentionally butt Jr. In either the 4th/5th not sure.
(The round both were trying to one up eachother)

Lee, " very hard fight for Martinez, tough fight"

Lee, " the kid has to much heart, and very good chin, I hit him with such huge shots that would have Stun any body else, kid Just walk trough them"

Lee " I was very surprised I thought I thought he wasn't very good"

Martinez is gonna get TKO'd, Martinez is smaller, hits less then Lee, but boxes well and can move and has more speed... he will be able to outbox JR for the first half of the fight but the body work, pressure and having to fight off JR will catch up to Martinez... and the eventual Toe to Toe action will occur.

    Classy, I respect the honesty.

Lee's downfall as a fighter is that his natural instinct is to brawl but he's got the build and durability of a pure boxer. I've been critical of his conditioning for years so Junior breaking him down didn't surprise me, but how well he took Lee's shots did impress me. Lee packs some power at range and hit him flush, but Junior wasn't deterred at all by it.

Jr. Is a good fighter. However, Lee was tailor made for him. Lee has no inside game, and questionable stamina. With that being said, Jr. has a legit shot against Martinez. If he goes up to 168, he can hang with some of those guys there. Jr. Does have his deficiencies though. He can't fight on the outside, he doesn't have great power, and he's basically a one handed fighter.

Lee needs to retire now and take up training. Anytime you go through a whole training camp and the focus is on boxing and using your jab to control the pace of the fight and you do the exactt opposite. Then give it up. Stewart gave him the correct instruction and his jab was working but he stopped throwing it in the middle of the second. If he wouldve stuck to his jab and tying junior up on the inside and walking him to the center of the ring or making the ref break it up he wouldve frustrated junior and busted up his eyes. Junior earned my respect tonight because he fought like his father use too. Nothing deterred him but if Martinez fights him please dont let it be in a small ring. Congrats to junior for stepping it up and Andy Lee is too mentally weak to ever be someone I would want to train. Dont listen, gets away from the gameplan and no matter what stewart told him he still fought Chavezs fight. Taller man with a good jab couldve lasted the distance and it wouldve set up his right hand for latter in the fight. He landed his right hand earlier but it was with a fresh Chavez. Believe in your jab stand tall and clinch. Easy for me to say from the sidelines but I bet thats what Stewart wanted.

he didnt try to headbutt him, it was right after chavez was dancing at him and taunting him

lee dropped his hands and tried to dance at chavez by rocking back and forth and ended up headbutting chavez

    i dont think you understand.

lee tried to box him and jr simply wouldnt let him. it was a small ring and jr. was willing to absorb any and all punishment in order to inflict damage and to get inside. when you dont have the strength or punch output/power what happened to lee is the end result.
this will be jr's same MO against martinez and i really dont see martinez having the gas tank or the strength to keep him off of him.

chavez jr is not the same fighter he was 12 months ago.

He'll rebound. Who says a Pirog or Golovokin would be able to beat him, never mind stop him?
