First of all I would just like to point out that I have been accused of being a ***** by guys like puga and lance uppercut (the ladder of who claims to have put me on his ignore list)

The reason why I say this is mainly because of his last appearance in the ring.
If you notice in the Cotto fight he was getting hit by the jab constantly.
He even tried to do his classic pull counter but failed to slip the jab time and time again.
However in the last round he started slipping the jab effectively.

My theory is that Floyd is the type of fighter that gets stronger and better as the fight goes along and as he ages it takes him longer and longer to get properly "warmed up" in the ring.

Mike Tyson was the type of fighter that started out strong and then got weaker as the fight wore on and it became very noticable as he got older.

So by the time the Cotto fight happened it took Floyd 11 rounds to "warm up", what's it gonna take in his next fight...12?

That plus the fact that he's losing muscle in prison (which is what robbed Roy Jones jr of his prime, losing muscle) tells me that by the time Floyd fights his next fight, he will be completely and utterly shot

Hmmmmm, so what does this say about Marquez and Ortiz? I don't believe Mayweather is shot.

You can still do pushups and core work in solitary. Floyd is just a ***** in that sense. It is the old man's age that will catch up to him before county.

There's a couple of problems with your theory. First, Mayweather actually started strong against Cotto. The first 4 rounds were good for Mayweather. So I don't see how it's taking him longer to warm up. Second, Cotto was only landing, on average, about 2 or 3 jabs per round. Remember, Cotto is left handed. Cotto's jab is excellent. The timing on his jab is excellent. All things considered, Mayweather did a good job against Cotto's jab. I have no idea how Mayweather will look when he gets out of jail. However, based on how he looked in his last fight, no way is he shot. Shot fighters don't finish as strong as Mayweather did.

Floyd may not be the same fighter post jail, but he should be alright. Although, if they're going to keep him in solitary confinement, they at least need to give him access to a pull up bar.

He doesn't have **** in his cell.

Good point, Maybe I am remembering the fight wrong.
I remember Floyd coming out in the first round on his toes and using his footwork to avoid punishment or as Pacquiao fans would say "running" and then after that he kinda slowed down (by choice) and tried to rock Cotto with bigger shots.

I don't remember him looking stronger in the first 4 rounds, I remember him getting stronger as the fight wore on but again I might be remembering it wrong

or how about Cotto(e) just has a great jab. Even Floyd's own Uncle and Father have been saying for years you need a good jab in order to challenge Floyd.

Big difference between peak, past peak, past prime, aged, and shot.

  13. Mayweather is a great fighter but he really should retire. His style is suited for a 25-32 max prime.
Don't want to see him forced to trade and take unnecessary punishment.
He has one of the best chins and is loads more talented and real (chin, opponents,no steroids) than RJJ.
I am not a fan of Floyds because I wish he fought better and gave us better fights only because he had the ability.
I was so impressed with the Cotto fight and the way he finished those championship rounds ( so important IMO).

He looked flawless with the shoulder tucked blasting off straight rights.
However Cotto was able to get too close for comfort, Floyds defensive shield has narrowed.
He needs to stop very soon. I would vomit all over myself if he fought Amir Khan lets say and happened to lose.
He should go out on top and only fight Pac not a young douche bag like Khan.

It is his choice who he wants to fight and a fans choice who and why he decides to support a fighter.

Cotto is the first fighter since De La Hoya that had a jab, unless you count Marquez who was at a signficant disadvantage.

I don't know if this is 100% accurate, due to the perception that Floyd doesn't have his legs and is willing to go to the ropes. In this situation, a big and strong mauling fighter like Margarito wouldn't even need a jab to get Floyd against the ropes because Floyd would willingly back into them.

But all this is based off the premise of the perception that Floyd doesn't have his legs.

I'm sure his legs are fine.
