Anyone thinks Garcia will give Khan a tough fight, possibly beat him?

it will be because of his nonexistent inside fighting skills, a clear, massive hole in his fight game that garcia would be a fool to not fully look to exploit.

 

I agree khan has no inside fight skills and that's where peterson and maidana did their best work,i think garcia is a dangerous jr welterweight to any top guy and being a philly fighter he will get great sparring also

 

Garcia hasn't really shown that side to his game. He's not much of an inside fighter. He's primarily a counter-puncher.

 

PEDs or not Petersen showed you the blue print or at least a blue print

Garcia has to make it physical and has to get inside

the problem, Petersen was much quicker sharper and his D was tighter...oh and he had to walk through big shots to do it

Garcia impresses me i like the kid but the Morales he beat was shot way past it and he still didnt look phenomenal

Garcia a few flaws leaves him self open slow hands and this will kill him vs a guy like Khan who can be very precise

I get the idea Khan stays on the outside moves well and picks him apart from range

 

I think Khan will will win by a few rounds. I hope he learnt from his previous fights (STAY OF THE ROPES). He needs to improve his D or he will get KTFO. Freddy needs to bring somebody else in to train his fighters defence!!!

 

Garcia has the same shot Lamont had, if he gets on the inside he will batter Khan, plus he throws more powerful shots than Lamont with better punching technique. He can also box and counter very well.

 

fair enough. I havent really seen it from him either, but i've only seen the morales and holt fights. if he does have it though, and looks to use it in the match, that poses more problems to khan, because khan does not have one.

 

I think his S & C coach knows what he's doing. . . Lifting weights, if done properly, won't stiffen you up, or slow you down in boxing. . . If anything, it will stimualte more fast-twitch muscles, and make you all the more fast, powerful, and explosive. . .

He won't really be "beefing up" for this fight, because it's still at 140. . . He might have less fat, and more lean muscle mass, though. . . Also, from what I've seen, he's concentrating more on lower body exercises, and all-around compound exercises like dead lifts. . . He just has large-looking shoulders, and chest because of his genetic shape, and definition (but they're not really dense, or big), but his arms are pretty skinny, which is good. . His core, and base (legs, glutes) will still be the primary focus.

 

Nothing about Garcia is overally impressive but I think he has a solid all around game. It was mentioned earlier that Khan has a bad habit of fighting to the level of his competition and I can surely see that happening with Garcia. Garcia sort of makes up for his lack of explosive talent with a keen sense, determiniation and heart. I think Khan wins this but Garcia will make it tuff...hell if he digs down deep enough he might even beat Khan.

I think Garcia will give Khan a run for his money, but, will come up short. I can see him being competitive at stages but end up being caught regularly by someone who is a busier fighter. I think Khan may stop Garcia around the 10th.
