I agree, Andre Ward will be the next P4P #1, if he beats Chad Dawson. Ward will hold that distinction, until he loses. After he loses, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will replace him as the next P4P #1.
Ward has everything but power. He is technically a joy to watch and not feather fisted, but should have a higher KO percentage to just assume the #1 spot. Right now, though, he is the favorite. Broner or Rigo could leapfrog Ward by continuing to put opponents to sleep.
alvarez? are u people forgetting that Nonito exists? if its not Ward @ #1 its gonna be Nonito or Rigondeux if he gets his shot at Nonito.
It should be Ward. He will continue to dominate with technical excellence at 168/175. I don't think a fighter needs to jump multiple weight classes to be P4P. But it is a factor to consider and Broner has a great chance to jump the ranks if he makes his way up, which Ward doesn't won't have the same pleasure of doing.
Rigondeaux is far more talented than Andre Ward and if he gets to face high quality opposition, he'll be the next P4P #1.
