why do people say mosley is a lock for the hall of fame and not Winky?

    They should have. It is notable that he did push Hopkins to a tough fight two divisions over Wrights best.

    Exactly. Both very damn good boxers but I just see Wright more dominant at his best weight 154 than Mosley at LW. Mosley's fault or not, Wright still unified while Mosley didn't at LW. Both top 5 or around there as far as most accomplished at their best weight though Winky is a lock for top 5 at SWW.

    His best wins are against blown up WWs but he still unified and had a good run while he got robbed against Vargas and Taylor plus giving Hopkins his hardest fight recently.(Dawson's win is decent but are we really gonna hold that loss against Hopkins. Champ or not the guy was 47 and thats Dawsons best win:patsch. Still I give him credit but not too much)

    Mosleys wins as far as quality blow Wrights outta the water(DLH, Marg, Collazo) and its a shame Winky got screwed in a few decisions.

    Barry....lol.

    If he's so over rated, how come 38 year old version of Mosley is a supposedly Top 15 ATG's best win. Or one of his best wins.


    To answer the question, Mosley deserves HOF for his work at Lightweight followed up by his 147 win against P4P number 1 DeLaHoya

    @ JMW I Rank 2-3 Behind Hearns and a go back and forth with the Body snatcher.

    However, I rank SSM above him Winky because of all the reasons why people said above, Yes winky beat SSM but @ 154 he was nothing really. SSM best weight was 135 ( I actually think 140 would have been Ideal for him . . . to bad he never fought there). I think Turbo gave a solid breakdown of his and winky's career. Winky screwed himself over by self promoting then pricing himself out of fights @ 154 I would have favoured him over both Oscar and PBF

    they're both locks, Mosley will be first ballot cause he was higher profile but Winky arguably deserves it more. Both deserve it IMO, great fighters

    Your only looking at one piece of the pie. Go look at titles taken etc...

    Shane made a much bigger impact on the sport over Winky.

    You forget that Shane was 32-0 30 KO at LW.
