    My, my, aren't you slow.
That was BEFORE he fought Ibragimov? Understand? While he was knocking out guys like Byrd, Brewster, Brock and Austin? Capeesh?

I don't know that much about Tony Thompson, but I'm a bit skeptical. He's 36 years old, and will likely be very close to 37 when he steps in the ring with klitscko. He doesn't have that many big names on his resume, and while he can bang his record reflects that he's not exactly a knockout artist. If nothing else, he's a large southpaw with a good reach, and has a fair amount of experience. That's about the best that can be said for him, but I'm not going to get too excited.

We shouldn't complain too much, it's a decent fight against a good boxer. Wlad is a massive favourite but he would be over every fighter in the division.

I'd prefer to see Thompson fight Povetkin to build up the fight a bit. Still not a bad fight.

From what I've seen (and I've only seen his Krasniqi fight) his stance is a bit too frontal and he's not as difficult to hit as many other lefties.

So, Wlad hasn't become a heavyweight draw who people are willing to pay to see......on purpose ?

I think Wlad would Ko the much slower Thompson at some point after the 3rd round, but it would be a nice title defense, nevertheless.

Not exactly. He wants more people to be able to watch his fights on regular TV without having to be ripped off by cable channels. Is that a bad thing?

Aren't they about the same height? Doesn't Thompson have a reach advantage?

Yeah, regardless of Thompson's rating by the WBO, I don't think that he's the right man for Klitschko to be fighting. Wlad beating up on these 30 something year old mediocrities means nothing, and given his last performance he should be trying harder to redeem himself by fighting better men.

Have you ever been strapped down in your arm-chair in front of a TV during a Klitschko fight? Did they put pieces of tape on your eye-lids to keep them open? Did they also apply Visine for when your eyeballs began to dry from not blinking?

Obviously you keep hanging out on these boards, as demonstrated by your enormous post count, and talking trash about those participants who work hard and try to do the right thing...for example, raising money for charitable causes around the world, being involved in works for the good of mankind, etc....Therefore, YOU likely are unemployed or underemployed and need to shut the **** up and read something that will educate yourself and make your pathetic life better.:happy <<<<"Fanboy"

Nothing, but unfortunately these kinds of circumstances only confirm the common belief that today's heavyweight picture is truly terrible.

It can't always be the golden age and certainly it's not the top man's fault that everyone else is an underdog

Similar height, similar reach..Wlad is very quick for a big guy though. Wlad doesn't win because of his height or reach..it's because he is so good.
