Would think Khans talking would turn people off.

Your just giving your opinion there Rico and passing it off as fact. Can you give me some proof that you have that they are more well known? Maybe they are but I don't think they really are from my expierience.
Anyway has anyone seen those tops with the gorilla making an M. I believe they are endorsed by Mayweather, or so I was told.

Is this the one with the cartoon gorilla wearing a crown that is making an M shape. Because I was told that that's his brand and yes they're worn a lot up here.

Haye is very obnoxious and I remember everyone getting behind him against Wlad.

Ive always thought that we as a country like to get behind and support the hell out of someone, regardless of their demeanor. Think how popular Naz was when he was doing his thing.

Also we all hate Ashley Cole, but still extremely proud of having the best left back in the world (coming from a gunners fan). Terrys a twat and we still get behind him

I see the Hattonettes are out singing in force:lol:

Manny Pacquiao is well known & when you mention his name folk shudder & parents take the kids of the streets:yep

Hatton was a popular household name but his obliteration at the hands of that bogeyman Pacman is often too much to bear for the man on the street who just raises his eyebrows & shudders at the mere mention of the PACMAN:lol:

It's not so much his arrogance more his whinning and excuse making, that's what really gets people. Especially recently with the whole Peterson thing. Post Zab Judah I think most boxing fans had really got behind him again sinse the Breddis KO but then all the whinging and whining turned alot of people off again.

I totally agree with you except, I'm not convinced Naz was popular in the sense people liked him as a person, I think people were addicted to his arrogance and ring excitement and wanted to see him KO or get KOed.

I just don;t understand the Brits. I know every one likes rooting for the underdog but in Khan's case it just doesn't make sense. Why people dislike khan I don't know...Hamed talked smack day and night but they get behind him and khan who we know isn't the smartest in comparison seems like an angel.

Khan clearly more well known but most people I speak to known pacquaio even if they have no interest in the sport.

Haye is probably the most well known boxer in the UK, then Khan and Harrison. Probably in my experience after that it's Mayweather. People tend to forget now just how big his fight was with Hatton over here, it was massive, the media coverage was unreal so a lot of people, even those that have no interest in boxing know him because of that

If Hatton was still fighting today, would he be the most popular in the UK? It was his fight with Mayweather that set the UK PPV record
