Most brutal beat downs of all time? Oh come on.I`ve seen plenty worse,too many to mention.It`s not what Mercer did to Morrison is it? That was harrowing to watch tbh.

 

Mercer deserves a lot of respect for this fight. He took some brutal shots and accumulated punishment. To say that Mercer's chin was "gone" is an insult to him as most guys that have faced the "reserved safety 1st Wlad" would have been KOed early.

 

there's no doubting wlad's power, as there is no doubting mercer's chin. that doesn't obscure the facts however. mercer was shot, had done nothing to merit a title shot, and for anyone to say it was a good win lends to the fact that the heavyweight division at the time, was shitty. it's shitty now although slightly better with the influx of seemingly legitimate prospects.
