Would Tommy Hearns go through Sugar Ray Robinsons resume undefeated?

    Interesting question. I'd say no because Robinson fought into his 40s and had many tough fights before that time. Those fights would wear even more on Hearns IMO who wasn't the most durable guy around. I think Hearns would have beaten the fighters in the 1st half of Robinson's career, I'm not sure I'd favor him over Joey Maxim. Maxim was competitive with a guy who I rank much higher in Hearns (Ezzard Charles).

    I see what you mean. Though I think if Hearns gets on his bike, and avoids being drawn into a war then he can win decisions over Jake. I don't Tommy would win all 5 though. Lamotta was unbelievably tough and despite he wasn't a puncher, he was very strong. Hearns would have issues if he's facing a guy who's willing to take his biggest shots, and keep coming through (like Hagler did)
