Povetkin scared of fighting Adamek?

    The next opponent of Tomasz Adamek will soon be announced. The Polish fighter says he will be a top fighter, but it definitely won't be WBA regular champion Alexander Povetkin. The Russian is somewhat concerned of fighting "Góral" and his management rejected an offer to fight Adamek.

    "I think that in 2,3 weeks everything will be known", said Adamek to the paper "Przegląd Sportowy", when asked about his next opponent's name. "It will be a top opponent for sure, because if I'm to climb in the ranks, I must fight with the best", he added.

    There was a lot of talk of Adamek facing Povetkin. This would undoubtedly be a very interesting fight, but it's not going to happen. " The Povetkin camp, his promoter, said they are not interested in fighting me", said Adamek.

    This year the Pole is schedueled to fight twice more. First on 8 September at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, and then again in December. If everything goes as planned, then next year Adamek should be getting a title shot.

    What the **** should he be scared of? Adamek looked like **** against Chambers, a guy Povetkin beat.

    a fight like this would be huge in Russia or Poland, so why would his camp reject an offer?

    povotkin beat chambers..it was a close fight,chambers even had two arms..adamak got beat by chambers with one arm..has chambers improved??quite possibly..but ill stick to the fact adamak is keek at heavyweight...

    If only boxing was that simple. I'd favour Povetkin, but I'd hardly be shocked to see him lose. I can see him needlesly plodding after Adamek for 12 and losing. Then again I can see him getting the Pole in the ropes a few times and taking advantage. Obviously people aren't too high on Adamek after he didn't beat a one armed fighter clearly. Despite beating him Povetkin doesen't have the slickness of a Chambers. I think stylistically Adamek could easily cause Povetkin problems.

    Russians are never scared of polelacks

    My ex Russian work colleague said he would have no problem stabbing a pole in the heart and he said they don't have the balls to do the same back to a Russian.
