Its understandable mate. If youre a relative newcomer to the sport, you can see why people might think the way Deckard does. To have followed the sport since the Pride days, watching Fedor take on and defeat monster after monster, thats a completely different world than getting into MMA in the past few years, seeing Fedor fighting cans/nameless guys/shot fighters, never fighting the best in the UFC, and beating guys youve never really heard of

I can totally see where people like Deckard are coming from, but anyone with a long history of following the sport knows very well the bigger picture

sure. if youve not followed the sport long, all you would see is this fat bald dude getting beat up, not fighting in the UFC, all the while getting talked about as if he's Ray Robinson. you check his resume, and there are only a few big names youve heard of

he's wrong, but im sure you can see why he would think the way he does if his exposure to Fedor has been limited to the past few years

 

Nope don't buy it. If you're an arm-chair fan may be. But fans that take the time to sign up to a combat website like this are in my eyes a bit more than that. If you're a fan then you'll do your research. Not repeat bull**** you see other Zuffa zombies writing on these board as though its fact. The problem with UFC/MMA is fans have the most fickle mindset. Many aren't even fans. They're just bandwagoners who rock Tattoo's, Mohicans and TapOut T-Shirts.
