Canelo has 3 possible new opponents and gb says one is ppv worthy

I say gbp should pick Trout. Lara is too dangerous for Canelo to fight. Molina has the John Ruiz style that will make any fighters look bad. Why dont Lara fight Molina in the rematch to settle the score? And why not have that fight in the undercard of Canelo main event?

 

2 problems with this theory:

1: Canelo is just a slugger. He's not even close to the technician ODLH was.

2: Canelo speaks lousy English.

 

The only fight that makes ppv sense and would draw bigger numbers than the JCC-Martinez fight would be the Cotto fight.

 

Those are two of the best 154 lb fighter. I think both could possibly beat him, but he would be favored against either. He is 21, he can not start ducking the best fighters already. I would not be suprised at all he fights Molina.

Neither one of those things will hurt his fame. The fact that he is so aggressive makes him fun to watch, and its not like he throws a bunch of wide punches like Kirkland. That fact that he speaks only spanish makes alot of Mexicans like him even more.

 

Arum put it best, GB won't use Trout because he could stink out the joint and still upset Alvarez. GB could meet Kirkland half way on his demands, but that would be too big a budget for a regular Showtime card, and way to big for a CBS card. Berto is probably too big of a name outside of a ppv card and I don't know if K9, Quintana, or Lara would generate much excitment?

Could still be Mayorga. He's fought everyone -Tito, Oscar, Vargas, Cotto, Mosely, so Alvarez might as well punch his ticket too. Only thing is I wonder if he'd be able to control his mouth for CBS? At any rate, El Matador would generate alot of hype and publicity prior to his execution. If GB is committed to a CBS fight, I wouldn't expect too good of an opponent, just one that sells.

 

Alvarez next fight will be judah or quintana.

I don't see CBS getting excited about putting Canelo on. Just don't see it at all. I think Schaefer just won't admit he lost his pissing contest with Arum.
