i think Matthysee would beat him but if it went to the cards he would lose a close decision. he just doesn't have the name to win the big fights when his opponent makes more money

Rios is there to be his an Matthysse is pretty good at punch selection and variation and defense. Plus he is a bigger guy and I feel a just as big puncher at a bigger weight.

 

Unless Rios' chin is even better than it seems (and it seems like iron) I have to think he gets stopped here.

Too little defense, Matthysse hits too hard and accurately and Rios isn't going to stop him.

TKO most likely when Garcia or the ref have seen enough, clean KO possible.

Matthyse is a bigger puncher, has a better chin, and defensively is less hittable. I think he breaks that cholo to the body, and stops him.

 

Matthysse would win this one, but the fight won't ever happen because Rios is with Top Rank, and Matthysse is with Golden Boy.

Matthysse is in a good position to become a "cash cow". Lot of
NAME fighters in/around his div. A victory over Rios would definitely
put his name out there.
