I'd assume anyone talking **** on here about Ortiz hasn't stepped into the ring (or been hit with his mouth open). Sure fire way to get knocked the **** out and take some extra brain damage.

He's a tough kid but clearly in the wrong sport. He's lucky to have made a fortune and he's had a tough life, so good on him.

This mentality confuses me a little.

Are baseball fans not allowed to criticize the 3rd baseman on their home team if he makes an error because they wouldn't have been able to make the play themselves?

    Fighters fight.

I love all the tough guys on here. I've messed around with sparring and can tell you I'd never, ever fight with a broken jaw. My ****** ass wouldn't last a minute against a pro. I'm guessing a lot of the dickwads here calling Ortiz a loser fall into the same category.

Intimidation comes from mentality not so much boxing skill. Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Michael Moorer, Edwin Valero.

These guys are intimidating because they fought like madmen, like they want to die in the ring trying to take your head off. Tyson fought that way because he fought scared, Holyfield fought that way because of his belief in God, Michael Moorer and Edwin Valero were naturals.

I wouldn't want to fight any of those guys in or outside the ring. Ortiz on the other hand has quit and once you show you've got quit in you then people don't fear you anymore. Ricky Hatton would have destroyed Ortiz because Hatton doesn't quit, neither does Manny Pacquiao.

You mean like Hopkins or Vitali or Tyson or on and on and on. There are guys who will fight through that, but I don't think it's a reasonable expectation for a fan to have. You don't subscribe to Showtime thinking you'll get to see a fight with a broken jaw.

It's not a reasonable expectation for a fighter to earn millions of dollars but fighters like Ortiz have this sense of entitlement that they can earn that money without actually being a fighter. The guy took a broken jaw but quit so he doesn't deserve millions.

For instance Floyd runs, but he has mastered it and developed the muscles in his legs for it. Now, Bradley tries with all his heart and soul to copy Floyd's running and succeeds tapping that adrenaline and goes to a wheelchair to heal after letting it all out in the ring.

That being said, Victor quit like a sissy. :D
