In the sport of boxing there is no shortage of warriors so even when a fighter quits one time he has seperated himself from that group and labeled a quitter. You can bring up all of the times he showed heart and determination but unfortunately you can do the same for tons of other fighters that haven't quit while up on the cards. Not trying to be a dick, just saying it the way it is, it's a demanding sport.

To me Ortiz is a beast with tons of skill.
All the bs comes from the maidana fight. When ur head isn't in it u can't perform. I think everyone knows he fights maidana 100x he destroys him the remaining 99 matches

he isnt a quitter, but he did quit. he obviously redeemed himself with the berto clash, but that quit job he pulled against marcos maidana was comparable to oliver mccall against lewis in their second match. the way the floyd fight ended was FULLY his fault as well. something's up with him. he may not be a quitter, but every so often the man folds mentally.

One thing about Ortiz is that he's dumb.

And when you're dumb you gotta be tough.

    He's not.

    There's the problem.

    hes not a ****in "warrior"

having an entertaining or exciting style doesnt make u warrior its having heart and determination no matter if u win or lose. and Whoretiz clearly doesnt have that.

hes a badass until he gets hit. hes a *****.

His heart shouldn't be questioned, it's his head that needs examining, the guy has a spotty history of falling apart when things get tough. In no way am I saying he should have battled through a broken jaw, but he got disqualified against a fighter named Alarcon for punching on a break, he got headbutted a fighter named Cordova and couldn't continue, he had a melt down against Mayweather, and even admitted to intentionally trying to do it (which was obvious anyway), he's outboxing Peterson fairly easily, then strangely starts backing up in the championship rounds and fights to a draw (although I had him winning), and even in his fight with Josesito, he was showing signs of frustration early in the fight, when he illegally punched him in the back of the head. His heart is not in question it's his head that most are questioning.

    Margarito and Gatti are warriors.

    Ortiz is just a quitter.
