Set to square off August 25th in the US according to Boxrec.

    Who do you pick?
My take's on Pirog based on having faced better competition.

Pirog out-boxes him to a ud or possibly knocking him out in the later rounds, because of his 20 ko's in 23 fights means he probably don't like deep water.

    Will it finally happen?

I expect a war, but with GGG's power coming out on top.

Golovkin will break Pirog down and win on a stoppage late in the fight.

makes me proud that fights like these still happen where two top contenders aren't scared to face eachother... both putting everything on the line in a match where the fight can go either way. Both of these guys could probobly take the easy route, but the winner of this fight will be considered top 3 middleweight. GGG has the power good boxing skills extensive amature exprience... Pirog is Pirog (nuf said) 60/40 GGG but too close to call

Pirog on points or Golovkin by stoppage.

Golovkin went to war against Ouma, he probably didn't expect him to handle a beating and he lost several rounds in his demolition process.

People say Golovkin struggled with Ouma and others say Pirog struggled with Ishida. I don't think either's performance was an actual gauge of their highest abilities. I could see Pirog walking an overly aggressive Golovkin into alot of hard punches like he did with a rugged Gennady Matiroysn, and I could see Golovkins harder punches and higher volume out working Pirog.

Sometimes you just gotta bite down on your mouthpiece and go to war. I always found you expand more energy trying to create space and box against guys who want to pressure you and throw 80-100 punches a round.

i am surprised how one sided this poll is. I like GGG but people are falling in love with his power a little too fast.

The real question is, will it actually happen? I'll wait till a couple of weeks before the fight before I make any prediction
