So basically Ortiz was winning the fight and had the decision in his pocket in he needed it(thanks GB) and some folks suddenly says he was afraid and was looking for a easy way out?

Ortiz is a different animal. Ortiz was in full control before the lucky punch that broke is jaw.

The second biggest winner here under the obvious is Mike Dallas Jr. Losing to Lopez doesn't seem so bad anymore, some would argue Dallas Jr. was doing better than Ortiz until he got caught.

Once the meds wear off, Victor will come to his senses.

With his new titanium jaw he could add biting to his arsenal of headbutts and rabbit punches.

Just rewatched the fight, Vic's jaw was hurt somewhere between the 7-9th rd.
    (Defo busted in the 9th)
Lopez was determined & fought the fight of his life.
    Can he ever duplicate it??

A rematch is still 50/50 in my opinion.
Props to Josesito THX 4 the Vcash

Vic wanted to congratulate Josesito as soon as the fight was called, hence the lil scuffle in the the Ortiz corner at the end.
(I had Josesito up a RD on the cards at the time of the stoppage)

Revisionist history happening just days after the fight...smh Wow. Lopez was game and was giving Ortiz a rough time but in no way was he breaking Vic down and in fact he looked to be in trouble for a good portion of the fight. He was landing some good shots and he caught Ortiz with a decent punch and luckily for him Ortiz had his mouth open at the time which cracked his jaw. I think many of you are so intent on discrediting Ortiz that you just want to completely forget the many times Ortiz had Lopez stunned and hurt and the fact that everyone watching and scoring the fight had Vic up when the fight was stopped. Vic will KO Lopez in less than 5 rounds in a rematch. He came into this fight dry and looked undetermined. He wont be that way next time around.

Yep, Josesito Lopez will have more time to grow into the '47 limit, and might come in better shape.

Lopez was indeed giving Ortiz fits and I think mentally Ortiz was a little taken aback after he couldn't put Lopez down. That and the fact that Lopez taunted Ortiz twice and motioned for him to bring it. Ortiz didn't seem to sure of himself.

Either way, it will be a good fight. However, I see Lopez winning a bruising slug fest and winning a decision against Ortiz.

Marcos Maidana es el Padre de Victor Ortiz,
Josesito Lopez es el Tio Mayor.
Y Mayweather Jr es el sancho de su Madre.
