i don't assume he will overwhelm martinez. it's just my prediction. martinez can win and i'm sure he'll be the favorite.

the comparison was in the quality of opponents. they are of the same general quality. not who would beat who or who is better out of their competition.

martinez should be grateful about the duck.

the fight is more legitimate now than it would have been 2 years ago.

    also more money.

We need a face off for this. Neither guy speaks english, but I don't care. You won't need a translator for the venom and hate they'd spew.

they should do it in spanish with english subtitles.

much better than them trying to speak english or through translators.

a large majority of hispanic americans are fluent in spanish anyway.

:rofl LOL I love how he refers to himself as an "old man," so when Chavez ices his ass, he's already subconsciously planted an excuse. . .

TOok the title from Sergio? LOL< the ****ing idiot ABANDONED IT; yes, he ABANDONED IT in order to fight for the prestigious "WBC DIAMOND BELT" against the world class BEAST, yet completely unproven, career 154 pounder Serhey Dzinziruk So I don't know WTF he's on about. . .

If Sergio has a boring personality then what is JCC Jr Captain Charisma?

If he wasn't JCC's son he wouldn't get near any attention/importance as compared to now... he's nothing special in the ring. Hopefully the fight is happenin in Las Vegas and not Texas AND Debella needs to do his homework on Bob Arum.

That's a possibility, but I feel Martinez has the pedigree and experience to see this one through.

Now a biased ref could hurt if Jr is allowed to use rough house tactics beyond what is normally reasonable, but if the fight is fair, Martinez will break him down and knock him out late.

I agree that Chavez is bigger and stronger than Martinez, but I'm not sure about Pavlik and I'm not sure he can take a bigger punch because he hasn't fought the punchers that Pavlik has fought.

Chavez also lacks the jab and the destructive KO ability. Chavez can punch, and he is very strong, but this is why I think he will get knocked out late.

I do agree that his best chance is to get to Martinez when Martinez is taking a break, but it won't be enough and Martinez will likely batter him into submission.

I don't like to bet against Chavez because there is no telling what will happen because his tallent doesn't match his fame yet, but that makes him dangerous because they see value in their product and don't want him to lose.

So, I got to go with my man Martinez.

    Sergios last 6

Paul Williams - Came in as a replacement and got robbed
Kelly Pavlik - Middleweight champion - Face was bloodied
Paul Williams - Revenge grudge match - KTFO
    Dzinzruk - WBO 154 Champion - granted - Dropped about 5 times?
Barker - European Middleweight champion - knocked out
Macklin - Should have become the WBA Middleweight champion - knocked out

    JCC jr

John Duddy - goes the distance
    Billy Lyell - 10 rounder . . . goes the distance
Sebastian Zbik - goes the distance in a fight Jr got gifted. Zbik later gets stopped by sturm
Peter Manfredo jr - a very small mw who backed him up, needed ref to stop the fight
Marco Antonio Rubio - Came in weighing 180 and still went the distance
Andy Lee - was getting outboxed and refused to give drug test

Lets face it, when was the last time JCC knocked someone down let alone knock them the **** out? Martinez has put better middleweights down for the count! dont forget Pavlik went up to 175 before the Martinez fight so Sergio will have face bigger guys

Sergio is going to wear Jr down over the fight and stop him around the 10-12th round, Chavez gets hit too easily and Martinez is going to use angles and actually move, come in with that right handed jab and swing in with the left hand over and over and over. hell back out when Chavez goes on the offensive and counter in kind

Sergio to KTFO Chavez unless of course the Bobfather finds a way to screw him out of that

as recently as 6 months(maybe a year) i thought Martinez kills him easily.... But with Chavez getting much better and Martinez getting older(possibly slipping).... An upset is very possible..... In fact it would only be a minor upset IMO.

You're crazy Jordan if you think sergio is going to be backing Jr up. You're thinking with your heart. You'll see.
