i know its sound weird using james toney and training in the same sentence but check this out [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaeLO80ausA&feature=relmfu[/ame] not bad for a dude known for being a fat ass some other small training videos on there aswell
He was one of the best boxers of the last 50 years.. People dont give him nearly enough respect or credit.
Definitely a naturally gifted fighter. Had he been more serious about his weight and staying fit there's no telling what he might have accomplished.
Good to see him taking care of himself. He is a former world class athlete. You would expect no less. Even at this stage. Toney is one of my all time favorite fighters.
that's it for the day boys... lol but in all seriousness he was awesome in his prime and i still enjoy watching him now
Not being a dick he, but its a 30 second video of him doing a few pushps. I could do that and im no elite athlete. It proves and shows very little, in my opinion of course.
Short ass clip man. That guy hasnt done **** in years And should of never been a HW and went to the UFC. He also was a juicer, there for have no respect for him and is a disgrace. Was good at one time but juicing ruins your career. He is a disgrace in my books. Thought he had a shot at that russian. That guy that fought the worst version of RJJ.
I count zero actual pullups. He's doing half reps with palms facing inward, which takes most of the tension off the latissimus dorsi and heavily recruits the biceps and brachialis muscles. This is what a proper pullup is supposed to look like. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUNoLR0pYjY"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUNoLR0pYjY[/ame]
This. . You want a back like this? you gotta do palms out, gripped about 4-6 inches past shoulder width. This content is protected
If he is still about 230 pounds thats not bad. Thats about what I weigh and when I am going full out on chin ups for some months 15 is a pretty good total of reps for me.
James Toney is a professional and fights at an elite level. He trains more than people know. It's just that sometimes he doesn't train at the elite level.
