He didn't say Trout couldn't fight Canelo because he smokes weed, he said that if Canelo accepts a fight with Trout, that he will send a letter to the WBA telling them that Trout tested positive.

Basically, Sulaiman knows their rules don't allow them to prevent this fight from happening. He's now resorting to extortion tactics to scare Trout away.

But to be honest with you I dont care for this fight at all. Canelo is a counter puncher and so is Trout. Trout was afraid to let his hands go against Rodriguez. Once he fells Canelos power he will proceed to run for 12 rounds and lose a pretty boring decision.
On the plus side this is an undefeated young fighter so he would get credit by beating him.
