Hatton haters read this;

Jeff i completly understand your point, but as I don't know him personally the only judgements I can make on him are from what I see in Television interviews. From those interviews I have seen which has been many I only get the impression that he is quite arrogant and very hypocritical. I also find his Dad to be like this, and his mother quite annoying.

The only boxers i have met and had genuine converations with about boxing and other subjects are Haye and Vinny Mitchell and a few of the Calzaghe gym guys. I am sure if i met hatton in a simular way my opinion would change, but that is probably the case for many boxers and other celebs i dont like from there media persona.

 

the tv interviews you've seen his mum and dad on, which ones??

i know which ones..........and probably you've only seen and heard about 45 minutes or so airtime of them speaking about their son, (who they love and care for and have raised him and watched and supported his career grow from strength to strength) their is a whole lifetime of stuff you've not heard, so you cant shoot them down for sayin "our rickys the best etc.......) because in their eyes he is the best and probably allways will be.

so who cares if they are arrogant about his talent or biased to their son.......it is they're duty.

The one where she doesn't pronounce her t, and says ks instead, hearing for the 1000 time that she is tougher than rickys dad. when she practicly said she wanted Mayweather to suffer serious damage in there fight.

Hattons dad bad mouths witter and bulls shits more than hatton.

The only person in the hatton camp i like is bily graham, or and kerry keyes.

 

Basically Hatton has transcended boxing in the sense that he is now a mainstream celebrity. Mainstream celebrities have some people who like them a bit too much and others that despise them for what whatever reasons they concoct in their own minds.

I despise Sharon Osbourne. I think she is an awful person who deserves punishment. I think this is fair enough because she does absolutely nothing which commands my respect and annoys the bejesus out of me.

Hatton on the other hand is a proffessional fighter who has entertained and been in some hard fights, winning titles and fighting in America, representing British Boxing pretty well I think. That should make him exempt from bitchy little comments from strange people who should basically have some grounding of respect for a participant in the gruelling sport they claim to like.

I think some anti Hatton stuff comes from Him not doing what they would like him to, which is fair enough in attacking his condition/opponents/lifestyle, but not himself as a person.

Have your mum and dads not done/said anything embarrassing?? the answers cause they have , it just hasn't been broadcast on TV!!

Hatton seems (and according to everyone except maybe Witter) a nice down to earth bloke. What's wrong with that??

I'd like him to fight Witter too and for me it has to be fight 3 or 4 on this comeback. If he doesn't that will be a blot on his record for me and I wont be particularly happy................but that wont make him a tosser.

It's a typical, (and not very desirable,)characteristic of British people who love to put down anyone who is successful in their field. If you think about it, it actually speaks volumes about the sad lives of those bitterpeople(People the Yanks term as 'losers') rather than the successful person concerned.

 

That's not just his fans.. that's British tradition mate. Still wrong i guess.

And i agree that hatton has done alot, and should always be regarded as a great in British boxing history.

 

:happy Now thats an excellent point but I think the whole Osbourne clan needs punishment. What the fack are Kelly and Jack famous for ? Kelly is an ugly mong as well.

i'm not a hatton "fan", but these endless threads about hatton ducking witter or hatton being fake are just putting me off this forum.

i can see the hate-threads outnumbering the interesting ones if this carries on.

 

all well and good Jeff, but why would the rest of us go along with your assessment of Hatton? No offence.
I only care about his manner within the context of the sport, and it's obvious to me the guy is an overrated fraud and a chancer.
