I guess it's called being correct, and Wake up Call, not even a modicum.

They should not be the judges of whats correct just report and archive fights and boxers regardless of who licenses them.

If they are not careful boxrec will turn into an unreliable source and diminish its credibility as a point of reference.

If Danny Dyer has given the fight the seal of approval, boxrec really shoud get this sorted out....

In his popularity heyday Frank Bruno could sell more tickets to his pantomimes than Haye can for his fights today

Theres a lot of crazy talk on this thread. Be serious, Bruno was way bigger

So in your opinion then Boxrec should add all the bouncer v bouncer fights licensed by the EBF, IBA, QBL etc etc as well then?

Of course not. You can't have one rule for one and not for another. Boxrec are doing the right thing.

Yet they openly list other LBF shows on their website

    http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=632661

So it seems to me they are being hypocritical of themselves, as they clearly recognise the organisation. Unless it's because it's in Britain and that's viewed as the BBBC's "jurisdiction" ?

The show you mention was held in Luxembourg before the current shenanigans began so was listed correctly. Earlier this month the said federation was expelled from the EBU, by a majority vote of 226-14 with one abstention. Nothing hypocritical.

Dont be silly you know what i mean, LBF is a recognised authority and as Cheekyvid pointed out Boxrec are listing other LBF sanctioned fights.

There is a licensed fight taking place that 30,000 plus people will be watching live and millions more around the World on TV but Boxrec are pretending this is not happening- how can anyone take them seriously?

This would make sense as Boxrec seems to becoming a mouthpiece for BBBofC.

I thought they were only suspended with the threat of expulsion if the fight went ahead. And as below the WBA have recognised the fight.

The Vice President of the World Boxing Association, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza Jr., said in an official statement that his organisation has approved the big heavyweight showdown between David Haye and Dereck Chisora on Saturday 14th July at West Ham United in London.

Mendoza confirmed, "The fight between Haye and Chisora will be supported by the WBA. The WBA Intercontinental title is in dispute and officially approved,".

The British Boxing Board of Control are affiliated with the WBA and also to the World Boxing Organisation, who’s International title will be also be contested by Haye and Chisora

This is not a licensed fight and they are not a recognised body anymore. Previous reference to them was prior to them being booted out of the EBU.

They are now operating on the same footing as all other so-called "unlicensed" outfits like the EBF, IBF, Queensberry Boxing League etc.

For Boxrec's point of view, you cover this unlicensed fight you have to cover them all.

Bringing world bodies into makes no difference as they are all self appointed and have the same clout as me and you setting up a world title, they have just been around longer and will sanction anything if makes them money.

Boxon - you really need to get a better understanding of how boxing works and stop believing the hype fed to you by people who have a vested interest in his "unlicensed" fight going ahead.
