    Wlad is 36 and has been KO'd 0 times, but TKO'd 3x.

Tyson by 36 was KO'd 2x, quit a fight once and TKO'd once, he went on to lose by KO again and by TKO again by 39 years old.

Both are flawed champs but both are great.

granted wlad hasn't been in much trouble for a few years now, but you have to consider the less than dangerous comp he's been jabbing into submission. since 2007, the only remotely dangerous challengers were haye, peter, thompson, and chagaev. none of them have looked to special vs wlad or even in other fights: neither wlad or haye wanted to mix it up in that fight, peter tho young probably peaked circa 2007/2008 and landed 35 punches in 10 rounds vs wlad and hasn't exactly looked like a beast in other bouts. thompson put up a descent fight for wlad before the stoppage and has taken care of business against b- guys since but not spectacularly and he was like 37 when he fought wlad 4 years ago. chagaev imo was never all that good and thanks to hep was probably on the slide when wlad got him.

the other opponents have ranged from competent but hardly scary (ibragimov) to complete jokes (mormec and hate to say it and to a lesser degree rahman and austin and crippled brewster)

Not since Tyson has there been a HW champ who has looked absolutely untouchable. You can say he has chin issues, but the reality is that he has stood back up EVERY time he's been knocked down, so even a KD doesn't promise victory. At this point in his career, Wlad has a true aura of invincibility. Just ask all the HW contenders that are turning down career high paydays because they "need more time" (step up or step off, some of you).

Though he has an average chin, due to his supreme boxing skill he is nearly unhittable. As the great George Foreman said, "It doesn't matter if you have the A-Bomb if you can't land it".

I think he's been very carefully selecting opponents in a poor era. Haye is the only really good guy he fought imo and that was close.
