[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IusXS4kh3Bc[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xc6J0ILLEKY&feature=related[/ame] Ajose Olusegun(30W-0L-14KOS). African Champion, Nigerian Champion, British Champion, Commonwealth Champion. ESB give me your opinions/thoughts on this guy?? This guy worked his way up the rankings from #26 to #1. Apparently he has been the #1 ranked 140 lb title contender by the WBC for 3 years now. He was supposed to be the #1 contender when Devon Alexander, Timothy Bradley and Erik Morales were champions. It seemed that Danny Garcia who was ranked #2 got the title shot against Morales instead for whatever reason. Now Garcia-Olusegun won't happen due to the WBA/WBC unification planned out (Garcia-Khan). Now, Im not that familar with this guy or even sure if he's that good, but when will Olusegen get his fair shot to show what he's truly made of in the stacked 140 lb division???
Not that great, even though he is getting hyped by some, his opposition has been poor and he has been very inactive. He will be found out when he face top calibre opposition , kind of like bute.
he deserves an oppurtunity. which is what he wants but is not getting. morales was supposed to fight ajose. but instead he fought garcia. and then garcia was supposed 2 fight ajose but went for khan instead. fighters prolly dont wnt nothing to do wit him because its high risk low reward. hes not that heard of but seems legit.
HEs been getting some hype on the british forum for awhile i think his manager or some part of his team or a relative posts about him but as you say potential high risk no reward those clips are the first ive seen of him. He could do with getting on a big sky show or something to boost his profile. Maybe a short stint with FW would help? From those clips he looks fast and awkward but a little slappy - (didnt hurt clazaghe much did it?)
I saw him a few years ago. While he can be boring as **** and awkward at times the guy is talented. I'd like to see him get his chance. He's paid his dues and i suspect his record is padded bacuse people avoid rather than a strategy on his part
From the little i have seen of him i quite like him. Forst seen him a few years back when he took Colin Lynes apart. Seen bits and pieces since and i think hes pretty good.
