How impressive will it be if Dawson can beat Ward at 168?

Proper impressive.

I have no problems saying it'll go down as the best win of 2012.

Ward's an incredible talent that's either already at the top of his game or is nearing it. To beat someone like that whilst coming down to his division, would demand a lot of respect.

 

And you know, the more I think about it, the more I believe a Ward win over him would be pretty impressive, too. I know he's not fighting him in his natural weight class, but the size and reach of him will be tricky to overcome.

 

It would be a good win, but Dawson is also the Champ at 175, so it wouldn't be like the upset of a lifetime, I wouldn't even consider it an upset really. These guys can both box well and it should be a good strategic fight. I imagine Ward will be favored, but I doubt Dawson will be a huge underdog or anything like that.

 

Would be very impressive considering everything Dawson is giving away.

Well hes a top class fighter, its not like it would be some enormous shock.

Also bare in mind that even though hes coming down,he'll still be the much bigger guy in the ring. Theres benefits to comning down topo if it can be done right.

I still expect Ward to pull it off,but I wont be massively shocked if Dawson pulls it off either. An old Glencoffe Johnson came down from 175 and went toe to toe with Froch.

 

Very impressive. Going down in weight to take on the one of the best and most complete boxers in the world in Ward and wining would be one the best wins of this era.

 

Both of these guys are exceptional boxers it would not surprise me if Dawson wins ..I look at this as a pickem fight ..

 

it would be very impressive if Dawson wins clearly because Ward seems to have more dimensions than him;
but it would be most impressive if this fight would turn out fun to watch.

 

Would be an impressive win for Dawson, but it would also be impressive for Ward, albeit not quite as exceptional.

I expect Ward to win, but if Dawson can make weight without too much difficulty, it will be an interesting fight.

 

It was never expected to be a snooze-fest to the purist.

The 12-21 year old and casual spectator demographic, maybe.

 

7 more pounds seems like a lot for Dawson to drop, he's lean at 175 so I can't see there being much left of him at 168. Hopefully I'm wrong and he can come in strong and healthy.

He's going to need his legs in this fight to move and use his advantage in quickness, reach and athleticism to win, if he can do that I can see him giving Wards lots of problems. If he can't keep the fight at range then I think Ward will be able to bully him and his skill and grit at close and mid range will be decisive.

 

not that impressed,i'm expecting Sven Warddke to lose in a "buté" fashion.if Darnell Boone flored him imagine what Dawson will do to him.Warddke can't handle black&slick,that's why he never fought Dirrell.
