Maidana is fighitng canelo sep 15, pulls out of thurman fight!!!

If true garbage fight Maidana has no business at 154. Not only that what has he done to deserve a shot at Canelo? This fight is a farce if it actually comes off. Maidana is tailormade for Canelo.:deal

 

Canelo should be rightfully bashed if he takes this fight.

Canelo would wreck Maidana so badly it wouldn't even be funny. Canelo is a big 154 pounder who could outgrow the division within 3-4 years; Maidana looked uncomfortable even venturing up to 147.

I'd lose some of my enthusiasm for the Ginger if he fights Maidana. I didn't like the Ortiz fight either. I want him to fight Kirkland or Cotto more than anyone else. (I'd like to see him fight Lara too, but GBP doesn't.)

 

Are they moving this to Sept. 14 so it can be on Friday Night Fights?

Wow IB, harsh words from you. Coward is not the first word that comes to mind when I think about Marcos Maidana... and I'm thinking he does better vs. Canelo than some legit 154 pounders. I've said it before and I'll say it again... If J.M. Cotto can hurt Alvarez, so can Maidana.

It would be such a mis match. Maidana didnt look good at 147. He would have to go up to 154. I highly doubt it will happen.
