GRJ is a pretty smart guy. Stylistically speaking, donaire vs GRJ and Gamboa vs GRJ would be great fights!

OP is making more out of this than necessary. GRJ is obviously, and naturally "tooting his own horn".

Fact is, with a lesser pedigree, Broner has already achieved, at a younger age, things that Russell is still only dreaming of: world championships, stardom, $, etc.

Probably, until one of them loses, the chances of them facing each other is slim to non. When was the last time Haymon fighters squared off against each other?

This remains to be seen. A lot of people do this to fighters coming up, but then they turn out being some of the best. I don't think Broner is too hyped, nothing compared to many prospects out there. Of course he is no mayweather as may fought Genaro Hernandez in his 18 pro fight when he was 21 or something to win his first title, most young prospects would never take on such a challenge early on... this doesn't mean he is not going to have a great career.

GBP, is no different than any other promotion team. They all build fighters on poor competition, and it has happened for quite sometime. They have been hyping fighters since the late 70's. If they step up and get beat than that's it. Most fighters by the time they are around 23 (or around 3-5 years in the pros), if they aren't ready at that point they never will be. Trinidad, Oscar, Tyson, Sweetpea, Mayweather, RJJ, SRL, Hearns, Ali, Foreman, etc... were any of these guys rushed? They all became champions young. Broner if he is not ready to fight someone like Demarco, then he never will honestly. Broner is a champion, has accomplished a little, he should be able to be in the ring with someone like Demarco, and he should have the skills on paper to beat him.

I would love to see Gary knock that ****ing moron out. Gary is actually a smart humble individual, the complete opposite of Broner.

Gary is right. Broner has many weaknesses

    One bieng his footwork...

Whenevr somebody steps into his mid-close range pocket or slips into it he fails to move and just stands there with his guard up and body exposed

Anybody with decent power and speed with a good punch output with smart footwork skills to give Broner no thinking time can deal with him.

Fake crappy Mayweather clone without the defence

Also keeps his mouth wide open good way to get it broke

GRJ I don't know, I think he would get beat by Ponce De Leon to be honest, I don't mean close fight either, I mean flat out bullied and KO'd late.

I don't know what GRJ means by "one dimensional".....obviously he wanted to make that statement to get a reaction. Both Broner and Russell Jr are ultra talented American boxers with skills to match, but GRJ needs to step up before calling Broner out like that..unless Gary is setting the stage for a fight with Broner. That's a fight I would lobe to see down the road.....I think Gary is a better fighter but needs more seasoning...he needs to fill out more and gain the size he would need to face Broner.

GRJ is fun to watch, exciting, but his best wins are his last three, plus the way he wins is great, and his last three aren't top level fighters by any stretch. I think they are moving him along just fine but lets see him take out someone better than Miranda or Ruiz before he goes into a big fight.

    Gary Russel Jr. vs:

    Juan Manuel Lopez
    Yuriokis Gamboa
    Adrien Broner
    Nonito Donaire
    Orlando Salido
    Guillermo Rigondeaux
Damn, that would be one heck of a list of fights if they ever occurred!

Hell, I wouldn't even mind watching him vs Chris John.
