Russell isn't ready for Rigo... he's good but after one to two fights with good competition we'll see. Rigo by KO, perhaps.
Gary is at home right now shitting his pants with all this talking going on about him fighting Rigondeaux .
This fantasy fight must be at 122lbs as that where Rigo fights. Russell is a natural featherweight and Rigo is a natural Bantamweight. If it's at 122 pounds Rigo beats Russell easy ... but at 126 pounds we still need to see how Rigo looks. In the amateurs Rigo would beat Russell 10 times outta 10, would do the same in the pros.
It just shows ya 95% of the people on ESB no nothing about boxing or common sence they talk like ass holes, for **** sake Russell has been fighting D level fighters and their saying he's p4p and in the same leauge is Rigondeaux Now com'on man use your ****ing brain, how many times do we see guys come up and their KOing guys and soons they step up to B level fighters the get KOed, ya happens all the time so before you open your mouth wait and see what he does with a live body, but one thing for sure he is nowhere near the leauge of fighter as Rigo or will ever be and that is fact.
At this stage, experience overcomes youth. Down the line I could see Russell having too much speed and talent for Rig. Interesting fight.
Did they fight in the amateurs? [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_World_Amateur_Boxing_Championships[/ame] :think
Dunne was able to stop cordoba and rigondeaux couldn't and he got knocked down,so its not like rigondeaux can't be hurt. Both guys are fast and have knockout power, but russell is faster and i see him knocking rigondeaux out.
