Yeah, in Dan Rafael's latest blog he touches on that. He says Adamek has to win Sept. 8th (likely against James Toney) first, though.
That's a much better starting time. Your average fight cards start at about 10pm over here and if you get a big fight in Britain, it'll usually start at anytime between 12-2am. For a big fight in America, us British fans have to stay up until maybe 6am to watch it. It's crazy. That said, there's nothing better than staying up to watch an amazing fight
Yep, Honestly think they care for boxing, with cooperation of other promotions, this can be BIG. They made fights like Judah-Paris, Adamek-Chambers, Rosado-Powell, Jennings-Liakhovich and some other high risk fights on there network for their fighters, they don't nitpick opponents that will suit they're boys. With better TV Slots Duva and Peltz say they'll do only much better!
It's a 4-6 time slot on Saturday which is excellent because it will get a significant casual audience without the fear of failing in primetime. Ideal scenario: (NBC wants HWs) Adamek v Mitchell Jennings v Stiverne debut of a USA Olympian (a gold medal would help)
this would be absolutely massive and they've been putting on great cards so far. They need to use their fighters they've established and big names vs some stern tests. More important than the name recognition for the NBC card on dec 22nd is the style match up, so far they've been very good at producing exciting style clashes. If they're using their current stable thius could be a great card: Headliner: Adamek vs Jennings undercard 1: Rosado vs K-9 or Martirosyan undercard 2: Judah vs Maidana It's more about fan friendly bouts than anything else when it comes to this network tv date!!!! any stinkers will rush us right back to versus.
Hmmm. A few months ago there was some fight I wanted to see on NBC sports, I forget which one. I have HBO, SHowtime, TMC, regular ESPN, etc etc but no premium sports channels, and I COULD NOT GET NBC SPORTS. My screen said "this channel is not available on your service." Maybe they were having broadcast problems at the time?
