I just cant belive a so called experianced ref would do this. farkn moron needs to be given the ass, i dont know the guy but i dislike what he has done in this fight. As soon as someone is knocked out like that and their head bounces off the canvas the fight is to be waved off asap. every second counts in regaining the fighters consciousness and having the doctor assess him asap. Its sht like this that gives boxing a bad name and gives the doctors even more reason to call for the sport to be banned.

Barrets eyes were also glazed over etc. Time to get profficent refs in the game and fck off the boys club fckwits like vocal, i thought he had been given the ass anyhow? then again it is NZ, the land of anything goes, where a 50 yr old can debut against an 18 yr old lol so it dont suprize me to much , more discust then anything and proves your point that vocal hasnt got a farkn clue when it comes to boxing.

Well Tua knocked out and broke Monte's jaw in the 12th in the fight Tua lost. Monte was out cold before he even hit the canvas but still went on to win.

 

Barrett wasnt out cold on his back nor did his head bounce on the canvas. it was a flash knockdown, he turned over onto his hands and knees then stood back up with less than 1 min to go in the 12th round.

The ref did suck balls.

Monte got knocked down in the third. Yes, Shane pushed down on him as he was on his way down...but he was on his way already, as the result of a jolting left.

Moot given the ultimate finish...but had it gone to the cards and Barrett gotten the nod by a ****hair? Would have been a massive controversy there.

 

Ref Vocale should've jumped-in when Cameron pushed Barrett down on his knees & landed 2 punches on the back of his head.
IMO, overall bad reffing. Ref Gellespie's effort in MacKinnon/Tavui fight also stood out

flash knockdown m8, he wasnt out cold. If he was then he wouldnt have got to his feet. He was also knocked down onto his side, his head didnt bounce from the canvas which doubles or even tripples the affect of being knocked out/down. By the time barret had started standing up the count was only upto 5 seconds. watch the clip again m8 :good

Vocal fcked up plain and simple, many refs would have stopped that fight the moment they seen the impact of barretts head bounce off the canvas. Vocal is just a boys club ref and a very bad one at that.

 

There was no need for the ref to count to 10....... it was a brutal KO and he was in a bad way.

Once he got to 3 or 4 on the count i think it was safe to say he wasn't getting up
