Canelo vs berto is the best possible matchup i see competing with martinez/chavez

    Canelo needs an opponent. I really dont see anyone at 154 that will help drive PPV sales. The only guy, and im surprised no one has mentioned his name, the only guy i see that would make for a good Ortiz replacement is Andre Berto.

    Now that would be a great fight!!

    Actually why not? Berto would be the best fighter he has faced, his power and speed especially would certainly have to be respected. I like this fight.

    i like this fight too. better then seeing him fight wack ass K9. Or trout. i mean, who else is there?

    berto just failed a drug test. he won't be fighting canelo. but, ya never know.

    Would Canelo get to roid up to even the scales versus that cheating ***** Berto? :lol:

    Decent fight, but Canelo would knock his ass out, and then people would criticize him for fighting another undersized opponent.

    first off, to everyone labeling berto a cheater, youre ******ed. in was traces in the 1 parts per trillion. no way that gives you an edge. to the post saying cotto canelo is a better fight, yes it is; unfortunately cotto has stated he has plans with his family he will not break and wont come back until december. to the post that said berto is no more of a draw then the other 154lb'ers, berto is much more well known than trout or k9, without a doubt. and finally someone said canelo will be accused of fighting the smaller guy, he was just about to fight Ortiz. Berto is just as big. Berto and Ortiz are BIG welters.

    now i dont know if Berto is suspended. maybe he is...but the fight would be good
