Guzman primed and ready for Seminole Hard Rock debut

Undefeated Dominican light welterweight Joan “Little Tyson” Guzman (32-0-1, 19 KOs) returns to action Saturday, July 21st in the main event of Acquinity Sport’s ten-bout card from The Seminole Hard Rock Live. Tentatively scheduled to face Mexican veteran Jorge “El Tigre” Pimentel (25-15, 19 KOs), the 36 year old confirms his right hand is 100% better after breaking it en route to an 8th-round KO victory over Jesus Pabon in March.

Guzman credits his new team with keeping him on pace to make waves and weight in the crowded 140lb division, including Acquinity owner Gary Jonas, trainer Herman Caicedo, manager Jose Nuñez and promoter Henry Rivalta. Caicedo’s infamous training regimen leaves Guzman in tremendous shape with two weeks of camp still remaining and will likely remove murmurs about “Little Tyson’s” past weight issues.

An Acquinity Sports spokesman stated a full fight card announcement is forthcoming.

Hopefully, he has his **** together...He was a hell of a fighter when focused just seemed to get side-tracked with his weight and other out of ring issues.

You can't deny his skills and he would be a nightmare for gamboa or brandon rios.

I'm holding out hope for a fight between him against Zab. Guzman is 36 but a young 36 and with his team keeping him focused, he could be a star again.

I think Guzman has enough to beat Gamboa. Rios gets KO'ed, IMO...

He would beat the brakes off rios and make him look 10x's worse than abril did.
