Hard to say at the minute, i will update the thread tomorrow morning to confirm the safest route..

Busy route is off the M1 at jct34 Meadowhall, then onto Sheffield Road A6178 continue past the Pizza Hut/McDonalds and retail park which is on the left and the arena's is up ahead on the left..

Your route is less traffic, so it's Jct33 onto the A630 signed Sheffield, then off onto Europa Link, then onto the A631 Shepcote Lane then straight onto Broughton Lane A6102 and the Arena's across from the Retail Park..

for anyone wanting a drink, we have a supertram which takes you from the city centre to right outside the venue and it costs around 2 quid each way and takes 10 minutes.

usually on busy services though the conducters dont get chance to collect fares due to been ramned so its usually a free tram ride from town to the arena, if you time it right.

please note there is nothing in form of pubs around the arena unless you like drinking in bowling alleys, old man pubs.

^This man speaks truths, there's only one boozer close by the arena and it'll be rammed by the time the doors open (well before to be fair). Take this fella up on his offer, for the sake of a few quid and a tram ride it's well worth it. Sheffield city centre houses some of the finest boozers known to man. If the Frog and Parrot is still open then that's a lock, a must visit.

No rain as yet, the surrounding rivers have now subsided so all flood warnings around the Meadowhall area have now been lifted..

Also just heard all £30 seats will be upgraded to £40 seats :good

Bright and sunny here in Doncaster (20 miles from Sheff); it can change at any minute...let's keep fingers crossed etc.

£30 upgrades mean it ain't selling, right? I'd have thought it would have been a sell-out given Brook being a local lad. Was the Hatton fight a sell out, or if not, how far off was it?

I suppose it was never going to sell like the Hatton fight did but the Hatton fight was near capacity, around 10-11k if i remember rightly, this is rumored to be around the 7k mark with tickets to be made available on the door.

I hate to sound like a weatherman but it's ****ing torrential here in Doncaster, the rain is ****ing stupid. Go careful fightgoers travelling to Brook.

HH put that Sheffield camera up.

yeah frog and parrot is a good pub which is on division street.

rain was bad earlier but calmed down now and shouldnt be a problem, i live 10 minutes from arena and it aint a problem, just setting off now into town to come back down here for the fight around 8ish, Exciting undercard as well to look forward too.

as for tickets not selling, i said at the time, kell didnt sell the arena last time on his own, hatton sold just as many tickets, IMO 3,000 kell fans 3,000 Hatton fans and the rest are people who went just cos of the occasion, this hasnt got the publics attention as much and is not been advertised as well, plus the last fight Wednesday was at home and sheffield united was away at someone just down the road, chesterfield i think it was, so all the football fans was close and i know loads of groups who was going to the football then boxing in same groups.

anyway, im rambling on. come on kell

    ZEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKOOOOO

I lived in Broomhill for three years, I studied at University of Sheffield back in the 90s, loved it. The Frog and Parrot was a mainstay, we were always in there. The West Street run was always welcome (it was better back then). Are you at the fight - I can't make it - or is it a TV job, like me? I'd be there but I have a stupidly important job interview on Monday so my weekend has been taken over with that.

The weather shouldn't be a problem now to be fair, HH is my barometer, above, I think he's close to the Arena too. It's fine in Doncaster, fine and dandy. I'm stopping working about 7.30/8ish and then the fun starts (though I've sworn myself off of beer). I think Boxnation coverage of the Klit card starts at 7.30, so I'll have a look at that, and then Brook at 9ish. Keep 'em crossed, S.:good

I think even Eddie Hearn knew it would be tough to sell out i think if it is does around 7000 then it`s done well. One day when he is World champion he should sell it out every time with a bit of luck.Cracking undercard wish i was there.
