I am. Sonnen has a great chin, was permitted to use TRT, had never been properly stopped... And all it took was one knee to the body and a few glancing shots on the ground for his big challenge to be over. I expected a lot more resistance from him. I guess that knee to the chest must've been completely debilitating. Still, he really didn't talk the talk in the end. WWE beckons.
I think he was very intimidated and that helped him to kinda quit while he was on the ground being punched......more a case of glass heart imo.
Not surprised...IMO Silva is a PR king....and nobody realize it yet.... And for saying that I'm going to be a called a conspiracy theorist... !
Me too. His crap was mildly amusing at points in 2010, but then he took it too far, and lately he's just been repetitive and boring. At the end of the day, he is a drug cheat and I'll be glad to see the back of him. Silva has finished him twice, and he's talked too much **** to start over in the UFC.
This is the difference between the two fighters as I see it: - Round 1, Silva was in Sonnen's world, he got held down, ate some GnP, got mounted... yet stayed calm and stayed strong - Round 2, Sonnen was in Silva's world, but as soon as the fight turned Anderson's way, Sonnen panicked and bailed out The true champion won the fight.
I thought in the first fight, even though he got 23 minutes of leather poisoning, Spider stayed calm and strong. I'm convinced Sonnen ran out of puff. When he sat on Spider and started delivering cream puff blows I suddenly wondered what if, and then it happened.
Yeah, it was weird how Chael threw the back fist and immediately crumpled on the ground without trying to get to his knees and grab Anderson's leg. He just lost all his confidence at that point. It really seems like Chael didn't believe he could win which is weird considering how well he did the previous round.
