When Will Saul Alvarez Be Ready for Miguel Cotto?

When Cotto is in his 40's

 

Come in 2013 easily.

 

IMO he is ready now. (But Miguel is not availiable for sept)
But realistically I'd say early 2013.

Win or lose, Alvarez is ready for Cotto.

 

Later 2013

Mayorga next if it's true.
Then steps up in competition early next year by fighting someone like James Kirkland

 

Why do people keep wanting to kill Miguel Cotto?

Miguel would be beaten down and destroyed by Alvarez now a days.

 

Next year. If he beats Kirkland beforehand, Cotto would be the next logical fight. If he's not ready by then, there's no point in the fight ever happening because Miguel will be too far gone.

 

After the ass beating he took from Money, anybody at 154lbs is ready for Cotto! It's done!

I have always question Canelo, but as of lately he's been improving and has impress me. Even though his opponents have not been the greatest, hes doing little things here and there that are making me a believer. I feel Canelo is ready for Cotto, but only if he's in his comfort zone. Meaning I highly doubt Canelo and his team will have enough confidence fighting Cotto Dec 1 in MSG. Now if in the West Coast this fight could be made in 2013, which could favor Canelo a little more.

 

He's ready now. Its the test he needs. Even if he lost I don't think he would get dominated. I actually think he's young and fresh enough to wear down the smaller Cotto and win by late stoppage.
We can't blame him for whoever GBP puts in front of him. And I would imagine Cotto has no interest in that fight. One reason is he would not make the kind of change he did against Mayweather, and two, he may well get another large payday and another shot at Mayweather next. If I was him, it would be a no brainer, take the payday of Mayweather because he knows his career is in the twilight, make as much money as you can, he has nothing to prove fighting Canelo at this point.

 

Miguel would probably have to fight on Canelo's terms...
I don't see MSG as an option unless GBP wants to expose Alvarez to the east coast.

Cotto don't have the leverage going into a possible fight w/Alvarez.
(Tho it would be a great venue for Canelo)

 

Canelo wanted Cotto next, but Cotto said he ain't ready this september.


And Canelo is currently ready, it's a 50/50 fight at this stage.. the longer cotto waits the harder fight he is gonna be in.

 

I think it would be a fantastic fight right now and very hard to call. Hopefully GB don't leave it too long to put it on.
