For the record- I instructed my management to contact Fury's people to make the fight on C5 2 weeks ago. They refused :deal

Fury doesn't need Price at all.

When Price was fighting some of the worst opponents ever to box in the UK, Fury was facing guys like McDermott, who Price has only just fought.

So now price has no tv deal, he needs fury. As much as i wanna see that fight. Why would mick accept the offer?? They obviously have a plan for tyson to take regular baby steps over 18 months before a wlad fight

Fury bitched out, or allowed his promoter to do so on his behalf. Purse bids was the fairest way to go. Sounds like he bitched out again.

I like how people claim Price needs the fight etc. Fury spent the first few years of his career talking about how he beat the Olympian in the amateurs.

Doesn't make commercial sense for Hennessy/Fury simple as that.

Plus people need to remember Fury is a good 5 or 6 years younger than Price - Fury is still a pup for a heavyweight

Fury/Price definitely doesnt make sense now. What are they going to make 100/150K each 1 or 2 years down the line this fight will make them both far more.

So would it be better for them to just fight bums right up until that point then? I'd much rather see them get down to it now and really give each other a test than watch Fury take on another Maddalone, and who knows what Price is gonna do... If Fury is serious about fighting Wlad in the next 18 months his level of opposition is going to have to go up a level or two!

At the moment the price fight for Fury is high risk and little reward. if this fight was to happen in 12 months time after both fighters have had 4-5 more fights and our both still unbeaten this would be worth a fortune for both fighters.

Agreed- also all Fury has to do is keeping winning and very shortly he will be a mandatory for one of the Klitschkos and earn big money. Then even if he loses and Price has kept winning Fury/Price will be a massive event.
