I think Jones is going to make a lot of noise yet in the Welter division.

The guy was poorly handled when he was younger. He has beaten the likes of Said Ouiali, and is only 25!

Why has he been written off as some journey man?

I knew he'd give Brook a real tough fight. Actually considered putting some money on him,and I like Brook!

Mrk my words Jones will be back.

Did you not see how limited he is? The guy fights in straight lines coming forward, has no Jab, won't move his head, he is nothing special and neither is Brook.

Wish him the best of luck. Put on a great show on Saturday, and would have got the win if he turned up the heat a round or two earlier. If I was him, I'd be kicking myself. Kells was there for the taking.

He did very well, showed a very good chin, great heart, and came to win.

He can still improve, combined with good experience. He could turn out to be a Kotelnik type boxer. High risk, low reward, gives the majority a tough bout.

He's basic but tough as hell. Look forward to seeing him again, he should be in some good fights with his style.

Most fighters have limits of some kind.

No fighter out there is the complete package.

I saw a guy with a great chin, great heart, conditioning and quite a bit of power. People have become champs on less.

I think he did all he could, was exhausted at the end. Was a top fight actually, really enjoyed it .

Yeah, true. His plan was obvious - take Brook into deep waters later - and so decided to save his energy for later on. But I couldn't help but feel he was being too inactive in those early rounds. You can't just walk forward and do nothing for the first 6 against a guy in his back yard.

    :patsch

He is not and will never be an elite fighter. He lacks too many tools and he is not the Savage Power Puncher that Brook's nuthuggers are making him out to be. If he wants to be a "Champion" he will need to pull a Randall Bailey and brutally KO some Glass Jawed Hype Job for a vacant trinket belt.

He's a tough journeyman who can win some fights. However, on the championship level I think he comes up short. Walking straight in with no jab or movement and winging shots can only take you so far. He may only be 25, but his style and the many fights he's had already make him older in ring years. I think at this point he's a legitimate stepping stone and a good test opponent for up and coming welters with more skills. I'd be surprised if he went any further than that. But he is fun to watch, and he has tons of heart. I look forward to seeing him again.
