what a joke fight, donaire is worse than floyd at picking opponents all the talent in the world, and he keeps fighting c level fighters
This looks like an attempt to build Donaire's fanbase. Arce fans will pack the Staples Center (I was there when they packed the Honda Center in Anaheim) if the card is halfway decent. There are plenty of Filipinos in SoCal, too. I will probably go to this fight and it should be Nonito's largest crowd to date. Of course, it is really taking place because it is an in house fight for Arum.
Will be sad to see another great Mexican fighter get brutally KOed. But hey, it's Bob Arum and co. What'd you expect? A great, competitive matchup? Don't make me laugh. But ok...if I reach far enough I can kinda...sorta see how they want to build up Donaire's fanbase even more by putting him in the ring with popular Mexican fighters. Still, Donaire and Rigo are not young guys. Last time Arum made us wait for a super fight in the lower weights, Juanma was KOed and one of the best fights that can be made went down the shitter.
It's gonna be all mexicans at the staple center. Nonito has no fan base but he s building it. I still don't think he d win Mexican fight fans by beating up an old arce
Donaire is going to bloody Arces face during the introductions, I will still go to support Arce though Latin Warriors are the best fighters
Depends on how he beats him if its spectacular Mexican fans in LA keep it real, look at the way they Boo-ed Mosley when he was walking to the ring for Margarito but cheered for him when he pulled it out. LA fans are as real as it gets
boo!!! arce needs to avenge himself against rojas. donaire may get a spectacular ko in this one. the fight proves absolutely nothing.
I like Arce but he should be facing Rojas. It suits Arum for the moment for him to lose to Donaire instead of to Rojas, which would be a real possibility. Donaire is good but he probably should be fighting the likes of Nishioka or Rigondeaux to prove himself the best at the weight as well as justify his position as #4 P4P in the Ring ratings.
