Bhop once said (about calzaghe) 'the more he throws, the more he'll be exposed'. guess this applies to donaire, hence he'd rather pot shot rather than throw combos. hasn't done him any harm, he keeps winning which is the main thing.
thinks he can just get away doing that, just going for the knockout blow after the montiel fight. such a disappointment...
I think he's naturally a counter puncher. He is scared to go in and press. All boxers are different some are aggressive and some are cautious. Nonito is the cautious type.He wont open up like Manny would. It's not in his nature too.Pacquiao is very aggressive. What makes it hard is Mathebula is constantly running or jumps out slickfully, hard to combo those kinds of boxers.
Very true. It also depends on the opponent. Mathebula was keeping his distance and was always moving. Hard to get off combos when your opponents does not cooperate.
thats what happens when a fighter believes to much in his power. they start looking for one punch ko's. instead of punches in bunches, i always liked punches in bunches over one hitter quitters.
Would you like Donaire to do a Mayweather impersonation - low output, low risk offense? He is what he is and he makes boxing more exciting. Besides he has to take risk to make fights exciting. He could probably win against mathebula without needing to be on the offensive all the time, but tha would be BORING.
