Boxers that got a late start

    A lot of fighters start very young usually around 7-8 years old. Rocky Marciano didnt start until he was in the army after highschool. I was watching James Toney vs Iran Barkley earlier today and Larry Merchant said that Toney was a football star in highschool and didn't start really boxing until after graduated, Ray mercer was like 30 when he won the olympic gold medal I think. Who else had a late start and became successful in boxing?

    This is done like every week. Do a quick search on the forum.

    Tarver and Campbell off the top of my head though...

    Seth Mitchel started late, though he already had a football career. Martin Rogan had his first pro fight at 33/34 yrs old.
