You have to agree about the announcement this time, history has been made.
A junior MW is once again defending his title against a welter, this time a junior welter!

Oscar should be the first to want to revamp boxing since he was part of many injustices in some of his fights due to the corruption of the sport. But in the end, he was corrupted as well, caring more about his ego and profit than the sport of boxing.

Tito should have been in his favour but he got more gifts than most fighters

I think he got robbed against Tito and Mosley 2. Didn't watch him against Sturm but I heard he was given a gift. Either way, he was part of corruption whether it was in his favor or against. Oscar should use his power in the sport to try and fix it. He has the name and power to be the first to start a movement or something. In the end, he became part of the problem. I guess its true, power+ambition=corruption...never fails.

What a bunch of ***git cry babies.

So they are building Canelo into a star, who gives a ****. It's a business. Its not like they are claiming Canelo is the P4P#1 guy. FFS, Canelo is just a contender with a title.

GBP makes fights happen bottom line, and if they want to make money by building Canelo, more power to them.

I remember all the real boxing fans, including me thinking Fernando Vargas got thrown to the lions to soon... Why can't people learn from the past and not make the same mistake twice?

Canelo is barely 21. Let the kid be atleast 23 before we start giving him real ****.

In the mean time, the rest of 154 should fight or continue to fight each other and let the best man eventually get a payday against the 2nd biggest cash cow at 154.

Wow, you aren't even embarrassed to post this. Yeah. Leave the Can Yellow alone and let the other guys in the division put on the wear and tear to make him look good later.

We have to remember that this is the same guy who called out and fought a natural lightweight when he walked around like a middleweight--and got his azs handed to him in black & blue.

Would be comedy gold if his-story repeats itself on his red-haired pet child... :yep

    It's a business brother.

Think about it like this, is Lara better off fighting him now for a few hundred thousand dollars, or is he better off fighting him a year or two down the line when Canelo is a super star, for a million dollar payday?

You should be embarrassed for not having any business sense. ;)
