Hypejobs by HBO and Showtime

Agreed, fans are a little bit too hasty and harsh these days. But i do feel they may have good reason to be so: given how hard-earned every entertainment dollar have become, these fighters would have had to earn 'em at least as hard as they earn theirs. Many but not all of these fighters make any visible effort to "put their lives on the line inside the ring" as some old-school fighters used to do: and it's not like these fighters weren't paid millions or at least in the 6-figure category per fight--pay our soldiers (who put much much more on the line for things more than entertainment) can only dream of. Modern athletes had been way too spoiled and pampered that fans have all reason to demand and expect more from these sports 'heros.' Fans may be unreasonable, but on this vein, they are fairly excusable. To whom much is given, much is expected.

 

HBO will repeatedly cram a fighter down the fans throats even after multiple losses and embarrassing KO's. They most certainly try to manufacture superstars instead of letting it happen naturally. Look at Victor Ortiz as a Prime example. He is a Glass Jawed Quitter but he still got chance after chance with HBO. Kirkland is another one. They are not legit stars in Boxing.

 

He was also clearly beating Froch up until the KO of the 12th round.

Taylor was actually a pretty damn good fighter minus a couple holes in his defense which lead to some nasty KOs which lead to a weak chin.

 

Taylor was a hell of alot better than Bute who is the biggest hypejob of this era.

 

jermain really wasnt all that. besides beating an old man drained to the tits at 160 he barely beat cory spinks for ****s sake way above cory's weight
