The likes of Eubank opened the floodgates for Froch to make the millions he enjoys today. To bring all those up and state he's above them is nothing short of disgraceful.

It doesn't matter if he is or isn't (he isn't!), it is disgraceful.

How can he have had more exciting fights than Nigel Benn!?

    Benn had 40+ exhilarating fights.

To me, Froch-Pascal and Froch-Kessler were tight, seesawish battles but hardly exciting stuff.

Yeah? Well Joe lost to Robin Reid and old man Hopkins.

He also took eight ****ing years to unify, and when he did manage to (belatedly) locate his passport he chose to fight a couple of pensioners. :good

I disagree about that actually, these tennis players are often smug and show off enough when they want too, especially when things aren't going well.

Can you imagine the stick Froch would get if he had a top with CF embroidered on it like Federer does!! Get real.

It's a myth that they all behave like gentlemen all the time, as is made out by the media. Truth be known, they are some of the most sore loses out there, but the middle class press won't allow that to be projected to the masses.

Who cares about that elitist sport anyway, personally I never got a chance to play on a tennis court with any regularity when I was younger, we had to sneak on them only to be chased off them sadly when half way through a game.

    Typical Froch routine
    *Froch says something outlandish
    *boxing fans become outraged
    *Froch proves everyone wrong

It's happened far too often in the past for me to criticise Froch for what he's said. I'm not gonna say he's right in what he says, but I won't say he's wrong either, and frankly as long as he provides the type of entertainment he does in the ring as often as he does, he can say whatever the **** he wants.

Exactly, you're giving him stick for it.:hey Where's your post taking the **** out of Federer doing the same thing, but worse?!

In boxing, most these guys fought their way out the gutter (both past and present) to get where they are and they literally put their life on the line every time they step in the ring.

I really don't think you can say the same about those in tennis. As said, when I was growing up, I was barely allowed on a court, they would chase us off them.

'Boxers should take lessons from elitist tennis players' (yet the vast majority were born with a silver spoon in their mouth)? Get a grip, stop buying the junk the middle class lead media feeds you.

As far as Froch goes, yes he often talks stuff that can be disagreed with, stuff I very much so do, more often than not. However, please do not compare these warriors of a working class sport with tennis players (yes I know tennis is changing and not all fall into that bracket nowadays, but it's still a slow change in process where still even today not everyone gets a fair chance).

Froch backs up almost everything he says. He is an outstanding fighter. But I don't think he beats Calzaghe, even on a bad day. Joe was a special talent.

He also got beaten more comprehensively than any of them bar Hatton. Ward thrashed him, it wasn't even close. His fight with Dirrell was dire and many felt he got lucky.

Benn's wins over Barkley and McClellan outshine any of Frochs wins.

Not every boxer can be star.

Look at Andre Ward. Young, American Olympic champion, undefeated, world champion yet his not a star.

Froch for me was wasted when he was with hennessy. Those years his exposure was minimal!!
