Damn. . Just when the first page of ESB got to a point of having NO Floyd/Manny threads. . . This pops up. . . THATMAN, you're a good posters. . . But this thread topic is beyond redundant. . .
I honestly believe the fight is 'easier' than a lot of people would think. I also don't see that Pacquiao drops or even hurts him.
You could be right.....but if Floyd had the confidence you clearly have with regards to Manny being "very easy", Floyd surely wouldn't have made it this difficult to make thus fight. Words and actions can contradict one another which is why the strong majority blame Floyd that the fight hasn't come to fruition. Some who blame Floyd even favor him over Pac but its just hard to believe what comes out of Floyd's mouth when everything he does comes off like he's "shook". Style wise Pac is a problem for Floyd....from his southpaw stance to his relentless aggression....it presents issues for Floyd....Floyd can adjust....does it well but he does require more time to figure out certain guys out based on "style" than others. And if you have boxed before....the hardest guys to fighter are southies and unorthodox....couple that with Pac's speed, stamina and accuracy it becomes clear why Floyd created certain obstacles that have prevented this fight from happening. It sheds light on his odd "negotiating practices" that couldn't be confused for serious negotiations. Of course we know Floyd is a great boxer.....he is and should be the favorite....the problems Floyd is to anything in front of him is discouraging at times.....embarrassing others, Pac and Freddie know what time it is. Floyd will show out if he were to fight Pac....he would floss and show what makes him great.....but Pac would bust him up a lot more than Cotto did.....which makes this a fight that could go either way. The fact is that Floyd is older....so is Pac...Floyd is less mobile...he sits down on his punches more which means he fighting a different style than what we are use to seeing from Floyd. Floyd can fight in the pocket....he does it well but that actually favors Pac. Pac won't stay in the pocket with Floyd but he will shoot in, rally and dip out.....Floyd will catch Pac coming in at times.....but not all the time, and Pac will land on a less mobile Floyd......this fight is a close fight and Floyd knows that.....he wants to get paid for the risk that Manny presents. I don't blame him for wanting to get paid.....but I don't see Floyd as the main obstacle in the whole situation. For me, the fight is a toss up but I would slightly lean towards Floyd simply becuase I usually pick fights on logic vs gut feelings.. Floyd is the boxer.....he's got pedigree....came crime a great AM background...he's bigger and more polished.... With that said.......Pac has certain qualities that I know would see Floyd in the fight of his life if we ever get to see this one. It's the ultimate contrast of styles...in every conceiveable sense of the word. Complete polar opposites operating on opposite sides of the spectrum. It's really what has continued to breathe life in the thought of actually seeing this fight play out and answering all the questions two years of "back & forth" between fans have produced.
They are both fading and so is my interest in the fight. If the fight waits for another two years, i doubt they will make 100 million.
Most def. It would happen convincingly, it's just a shame it didn't happen in 2009/10 for it to be more competitive.
Scared ****er.. "he's from another country and making money here" Floyd your not an American, you are from Africa
Stupid thread because everyone who knows Boxing and isn't a nuthugger knows that Floyd could and would Dominate Pac. Pac would look like a complete moron trying to leap in throwing lead lefts off of one foot and being brutally countered with Floyd's own straight right, he'd get feinted into complete inaction by the mid-rounds, and from then on out it would be a Money May Boxing Clinic until the landed punches were so lopsided that the Joke Coach would have no choice but to throw in the towel for a mercy stoppage. Pac looks like **** against guys who have good lateral movement, can fight and counter in the pocket, and feint and he would look doubly **** against the guy who can do all of these things better than anybody in Boxing today.
You don't say.I'd never have guessed. I've got one.Prime Ray Leonard v Prime Floyd Mayweather Jnr. Who wins and how. I've also got "Worst ever robberies" But I'm saving that up for a really rainy day. Don't thank me.Helping people is my life's work.
Floyd doesn't need to do anything, Pac needs to take the test and accept Floyd's proposed split because he is not the PPV superstar that he believes he is whereas Floyd could fight an exposed Glass Jawed Fraud like Mike Jones and turn it into a mega-event.
