If Haye-Chisora is the best HW fight in years, why haven't HBO or SHO picked it up?

its on in the afternoon, its a non-title fight, and as Wlad said in his postfight interview...."Two Klitschko losers are fighting eachother? why should i mention it?"

It's essentially a high level british domestic level fight. Why would an american network that has no contracts with either fighter want this?

I mean look at what Shwotime just put up with Lateef Koyode last week. Imagine the rant if Haye was to run all night pitter pattering and flopping and somehow got the nod....Imagine the rant Chisora would go on about:lol::lol::lol:

    BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.............................

Let's say for instance Haye cruises and earns a clean decision vs Chisora and immediately calls out Seth Mitchell......now, that is a fight that would get Haye on American TV.
Same for Adamek, except on NBC.:good

Why is it the best HW fight? Is it because of their classless antics outside the ring or because they both offer great exciting fights like they both did against the Klitschko's. Perhaps HBO and Showtime remember how their trash talk pre-fight does not equate to their performances inside the ring.

After a long time HBO picked up a HW fight Haye vs Wladimir. Haye talked a good fight and fought like a coward. Chisora was not all that entertaining to watch against Vitali either. Both put on better side show circus acts outside the ring though.

other than Mitchell against either Klitschko or Arreola vs Wlad there are not many other Heavyweight fights they are going to show. They tried to hype Arreola that didn't work now they are hyping Mitchell and he isn't as good as Arreola was. Haye has been banned from HBO after the debacle with Wlad they have said they will not put him on again.

At one time they said they would show Wlad vs Povetkin but not sure they would even purchase that fight now......

Very few Heavyweight fights are marketable right now in the US that is just the way it is. Epix has picked up the slack but many people don't get that channel....

HBO is not going to touch anything with Haye because he has proven that when confronted with an opponent who is not a Glass Jawed bum he will do anything possible to avoid having a fight break out. HBO knows that he will hype the fight with all the talk of the excitement and brutality he is going to provide us with and then he will furiously backpedal, throw a paltry amount of potshotted punches each round, and flop any time the fight is brought in close. He is a joke and they have the right idea on this because the only way it will be a good fight is if Chisora can cut off the ring and make it one.

According to Brittards Haye vs. Chisora is 2012's Ali vs. Frazier.

I don't care what network picks up each fight...just as long as I can see the majority of the heavyweight fights.

EPIX has been picking up a lot lately...including Haye-Chisora.

Have to admit I'm quite pleased with Epix lately.

Can't blame HBO/SHO for not wanting to show this one. There are too many negative/unpleasing possibilities that are beyond their control.

Either fighter could do something very stupid before the fight and get it cancelled. Either fighter could do something very stupid during the fight and get DQ'd. One of the fighters has a history of being more talk than action, and even had people accusing him of rigging the Audley fight. The other fighter is labeled a head case.

Too much risk for two fighters who aren't well known here in the states.
