^ This. Folks need to remember that the outcome of this fight is virtually MEANINGLESS, except for which fighter gets publicly humiliated. (My guess is that they both will.) This isn't two top contenders, battling for an important belt. It's two loudmouthed ****s, battling solely because the powers-that-be know people will watch it. If Haye ends up dancing around all night, throwing 2-3 punches per round (which is the most likely scenario) then 10 rounds will be PLENTY.
Warreen reckons it favours Chisora, he can go all out and give more in 10 than he could in 12. I don't see how it favours Haye, Chisora's stamina isnt all that, he looked knackered late on against Vitali.
WBO and WBA Intercontinental belts on the round, not that titles really matter, it should obviously be a 12 rounder.
Haye's obviously terrorfied of Chisora to have this clause put in the contract. Quite surprising really.
so when they signed these contracts months ago and agreed to everything including money they left a blank line to fill in later for number of rounds? this is such bush league bull****
If there are titles on the line, it should be 12 no ifs ands or buts. How are there titles on the line if it's an unsanctioned/unlicensed bout, though?
...then it should be 12. ...yes it does. Yes, if the "WBO and WBA Intercontinental belts" are at stake. Otherwise, no, it should obviously be a 10 rounder. You don't just arbitrarily schedule 12 rounds because of supposed star power. Greater fighters than Haye and Chisora have battled over a scheduled 10 because there was no legitimate reason (meaning a title bout or eliminator) to make it twelve.
This is bull****, I mean isn't it for some trinket title(s) or something?, if so then a big fight like this should defintely be 12 rounds. If Haye was the one that requested this then that is a serious ***** move on his part.
