OK, yes, Chisora edged the fight with Helenius, and IF, IF he beats Haye he'll have certainly warranted a title shot. BUT, BUT....he just had a title shot.

Don't go downplaying the acheivement of other solid contenders b/c their style is not as threatening to Wladimir.
Adameks HW resume is far better than both Haye's and Chisoras, but you no doubt would discredit him challenging Wlad.

Mormeck beat Oquendo and Ibragimov and Maddalone. While none of those wins were spectacular, and the Oquendo fight could have very well went the other way, they are all solid wins to get him highly rated. Combined with his CW exploits and his drawing power in Europe....that's how he got there.

Thompson beat a journeyman in his comeback. Proceeded to KTFO highly rated prospect chazz witherspoon and did what he should have vs record padder Beck. He fought journeymen Marrinacio in a stay busy fight, then got into the IBF tournament. Beating Harris is no easy feat. Harris just schooled Gerber, a top prospect and considered a contender. Thomspson put him on his ass with the quickness. He was then scheduled to fight Chambers, whose resume is also solid. Chambers was forced out due to injury and Thompson rightfully got the shot. Again, was he the best challenge out there, NO. But he did what he had to do to get it.

If DelBoy wins this, he should petition to be in an eliminator. Go through the channels and get a mandate. With his antics and disrespect, it's highly unlikely that he'll be taken as a voluntary defense in light of his history.

DelBoy could more easily get a date with Potvetkin and win that, then Wlad would be forced to fight him within 1 yr of DelBoys petitioning for the shot.:deal

First off helenius is no bum. I don't see him losing to ross purity and Sanders this part of his career. I dont see him getting floored by tomato cans like Wlad did. For christ sakes he fought Chisora with one hand. But I guess only the Klitschkos can use excuses. Wlad pulled out of the Chisora fight because he was scared of him. That is why Vitali fought him. Can't risk Wlad getting hit because they know his chin sucks.

 

God damn why the hell would wlad fight Chisora at this point? Wlad needs to step up and take some risky fights. Wlads last 2 fights were a disgrace to the sport. He needs to at least fight Arreola next. I know Arreola is a bum but he has promised to hit Wlad on his chin at all cost.

 

Chisora is a 3 loss fighter. If you don't know that, you need to learn your numbers.

I dont believe Mormeck was ever a Mandatory for any of Wlad's titles, Thompson was indeed a mandatory though. I believe Mormeck was a voluntary defence as he had broken into the top 15 (the requirement for a title defence) with his wins over Maddalone, Oquendo & Ibragimov the fight was meant to be in Dec 2011 but was cancelled due to Wlad's kidneys stones and rescheduled for March 2012.
